Fashion Literacy Talks

A series of private in-person ticketed events in Geneva focused on wardrobes, fashion and wellbeing.

Upcoming talks are presented on this page - while places last.

Is your wardrobe full but you feel you have nothing to wear?

Do you feel that buying clothes is your go-to option to make yourself feel better?

Are you not sure what to do with all the things you don’t want anymore?

Your wardrobe and fashion choices may have more to do with your welbeing and mental health than you may think.

Katia Dayan Vladimirova has been working on sustainable fashion consumption for over a decade.

Katia did academic research and built an international network around these topics. She gave a keynote lecture at Yale University in 2025 and her research shaped the EU policy on sustainable fashion.

One thing is clear: Research and action are so disconnected!

We have mountains of data on how our clothing consumption can affect our mental health and wellbeing in a good or a bad way. And yet, most people are not aware.

Research has all of the mechanisms of living a happier life pinned down. But they are hiding behind paywalls and unnecessarily complicated language.

Fashion Literacy Talks are there to give you practical knowledge and inspire you to take care of yourself (and our planet) - by taking care of your fashion choices.
